Week 5 – RB – Thomas Jones or Fred Jackson?
Posted by Vegas Martin in NFL Week 5 Start 'Em Sit 'Em Advice on October 9th, 2009 | Comment »Question: Week 5 Start em or Sit em? Thomas Jones or Fred Jackson?
In week 5, should I start Fred Jackson vs. CLE, or Thomas Jones vs. MIA? Keep in mind that Miami has the 2nd best rush defense and Cleveland has the 31st worst rush defense. Both Jackson and Jones are splitting carries, so who should I start?
Answer:
Go with Fred Jackson. Lynch is back in the mix but Jackson should produce this week against the Brown’s awful rushing defense. Thomas Jones has a tough task this week on the road against Miami’s run defense. Additionally, RB Shonn Greene is now part of the backfield rotation, which could take away more carries for Jones.
