Question: Which 2 wide receivers should I start in week 2?
Mike Wallace vs NYJ
Eric Decker @ ATL
Torrey Smith @PHI
Brandon Lloyd vs. ARI
Answer:
Very nice group of wide receivers. Who did you take in the first 3 rounds? It looks like you got your QB and 2 RBs early and then went WR, WR, WR, WR and got a mighty fine set of receivers to work with.
I like Brandon Lloyd and Eric Decker this week. The Pats should be able to score a ton of points at home against the Cardinals and hopefully Tom Brady looks Lloyd’s way in the endzone rather than the tight ends he typically looks to. I wasn’t high on Lloyd coming into this season since he’s Brady’s fourth option after Gronkowski, Herandnez, and Welker, but he still managed 5 receptions for 69 yards in week 1.
I also like Eric Decker due to his matchup against the Falcons. This game should be an offensive shootout and Manning will come out throwing to keep up with the Falcons high octane offense.
I love Torrey Smith and have him drafted on two of my teams as my WR3. He’ll be covered by Nnamdi Asomugha or Domonique Rodgers-Cromartie, so that will be a tough matchup for him.
The good news for Mike Wallace is that Darrell Revis is likely out this week with a concussion.
Who should I draft with the 9th pick, Darren McFadden or Chris Johnson?
After the top three runningbacks (Arian Foster, LeSean McCoy, and Ray Rice) are off the board, many fantasy owners will be trying to decide between Chris Johnson or Darren McFadden as the next back off the board. Aaron Rodgers, Calvin Johnson, Tom Brady, Drew Brees, and Matthew Stafford are likely 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8 off the board. Your 2012 fantasy football draft will really start to get exciting around the 9th pick and odds are that you’re trying to decide between Chris Johnson and Darren McFadden.
Each back has some concerns going into the 2012 season. Can Darren McFadden stay healthy? Will Chris Johnson rebound from a poor 2011 campaign? Last year was a disappointing season for Chris Johnson who held out throughout the offseason until he landed a huge contract. Johnson saw career lows in yards, touchdowns, and yards-per-carry. Darren McFadden, on the other hand, got off to a great start in 2011 and put up ridiculous numbers in his first four games of the season until going down with a sprained foot in week 7 which kept him out for the remainder of the season.
Question: Which WR should I start after Roddy White… Nate Washington or Deion Branch?
Which 2 wide receivers would you play? I have Roddy White, Nate Washington, Deion Branch, and Jabar Gaffney. Feel free to give your reason behind the choice as well. Thank you.
Best answer:
I would go with Deion Branch. Now that he’s back with Tom Brady, he’s a much better option than Nate Washington and Jabar Gaffney. Nate Washington will get lots of looks with Kenny Britt out. However, I would still take the receiver that’s paired up with Brady although Brady will mostly throw to Wes Welker and Rob Gronkowski.
Before you say “play Tom Brady every week,” let me explain:
The Patriots have already clinched their division and #1 seed and they might end up limiting their starting line-up meaning Tom Brady might not be doing much and he’s projected to get very few points.
On the other hand, I have Joe Flacco on my bench going up against Cincinnati.
David Garrard is also on waivers. I think Gerrard might have a big game as they are going against the terrible Houston Texans defense and the Jaguars have a possible playoff chance to fight for. Garrard has been doing exceptionally well these last few weeks. Should I pick him and start him? The last time Garrard played Houston he put up 28 points.
Answer:
Brady is probably a bad start this week, as the Pats are locked into their playoff spot.Garrard may be the way to go this week as he has something to play for and has a good matchup. Brady play a max of a half or maybe just a few drives.

How does one score 5 touchdowns in 1 quarter of football? It has never happened in the NFL before! Brady makes it look like the Titans are playing with 4 players on defense.
